About Me

Based in Wales I have always used art to express myself. I prefer pencil and fineline pen as they allow me to indulge in detailed work.

My inspirations are Celtic folklore and the natural environment – travel has also allowed me to explore different aspects of spirituality.

I have also been practicing the art of henna for over 20 years, and always mix my henna myself with natural ingredients.

My work has been featured in Wee Moon, Earth Pathways diary, Kindered Spirit magazine and Pagan Dawn magazine. My henna work also been featured on S4C (Welsh language tele) and body art on Channel 4’s the Last Leg.

I have been trading since 2007, originally starting by selling handmade jewellery and a total of four card designs. This has grown to a family of images which are featured on a variety of items – from notebooks to cushion covers.

I also incorporate ethically sourced Indian goods, which I source personally – from people who many of whom I would now call friends.

I strive to be environmentally conscious, all of the printed paper items are sourced in the UK, using eco inks where possible and FSC sustainable materials.

As well as online I head on tour with the stall and Kermit the henna bus to various shows and festivals all over the UK.

All of the planners and posters are printed at a printer just down the road. I’m working on going plastic free – if you would like no plastic in your order please let me know and I will use alternative wrapping.

I hope you enjoy browsing my site – I can be contacted at gwendaviesart@googlemail.com if you want to get in touch.
